Toast & Tour: Spring Open House Recap

by | Apr 27, 2026 | Open Houses

Our Spring Open House, Toast and Tour, served as both a showcase and an immersive preview of what hosting an event in the space actually feels like: equal parts walkthrough, inspiration session, and vendor collaboration. Check out the highlight video here!

Combining Elegance With Relaxed Design

The open house concept leaned into a relaxed, experiential format. Guests were invited to sip, mingle, and explore the venue at their own pace, “toasting” as they toured our historic downtown San Diego venue. Rather than a static showing, the event highlighted how the space flows during a real celebration, from arrival to cocktail hour to dancing.

Attendees experienced the venue staged to mirror an actual event setup, helping couples and planners visualize transitions between spaces and how different design elements come together in real time.

Standout Venue Features

What makes The Sinclair especially compelling—and a focal point of the open house—is its flexibility paired with character:

  • Expansive, customizable layout: About 5,700 sq. ft. split across two levels, giving planners room to design everything from ceremonies to receptions in one location
  • Distinct multi-space flow:
    • Main floor for ceremonies and receptions
    • A cellar-level lounge ideal for cocktail hour or corporate breakout space
  • Industrial-chic aesthetic: Original exposed brick, hardwood floors, and natural light create a built-in design foundation
  • Signature built-ins: Multiple mobile bars, lounge areas, and a dedicated dance floor enhance guest experience without needing extensive rentals
  • True “blank canvas” approach: Open vendor policy, BYOB flexibility (with licensed bartender), and customizable layouts allow each event to feel unique
  • Prime Gaslamp location: Walkable to major downtown San Diego landmarks, adding convenience and post-event options for guests

With design and coordination by Good at Eveything Events, the open house creatively and actively demonstrated all that the venue has to offer, helping guests picture how the venue transforms across different event moments.

Partnership Highlight: Good at Eveything Events

A key component of “Toast and Tour” was showcasing the venue’s recent collaboration with Good at Eveything Events.

  • The partnership provides in-house coordination and planning services, streamlining the event process from concept to execution
  • Their team brings experience working specifically within the venue, meaning layouts, logistics, and timing are already optimized
  • Clients can access exclusive pricing and packaged coordination options, including month-of and full-service planning

During the open house, this partnership came to life through styled setups, coordinated flow, and on-site expertise—demonstrating how a cohesive venue + planner relationship reduces friction for clients.

Why Host an Event at The Sinclair?

“Toast and Tour” positioned The Sinclair not just as a venue, but as a turnkey experience hub. Whether you’re looking to host a wedding, corporate mixer, Quinceañera, birthday party, or social gathering, The Sinclair can be transformed to suit your event needs.

  • The space is versatile enough to reflect any vision
  • The included character and features like market lights reduce the need for excessive rentals
  • The partnership with Good at Eveything Events offers a seamless planning experience
